Out of touch

So I had mentioned that earlier this week was busy. Well the truth is I had to go into work on an overnight shift and it kicked my ass. I used to work overnights for years with no trouble. Now one overnight and I am out of it for a few days. I am old. Like today, after work I was home for two hours and then BAM I was asleep.
So now I am up after my four hour “nap” and I am over thinking my life. Like how in the heck am I going to lose the weight I want to lose? Why do I have such a need to be liked by everyone, paired with a personality that doesn’t make that an easy task? Why do I feel like my friends are so much more intelligent than me? Why do I always seem to get stupid when I talk to my folks, or worse yet be so unfocused as to appear to be on drugs? I wonder what sort of child my folks really wanted and if I am even close? This is why people have pets, unconditional love without second guessing. I love my cats and I miss my dog.
OK so it is Wednesday and I am finally posting about the last weekend, but it has been a weird week so far [I'll tell you later]. Anyway, after running around Saturday morning and going to the Craftravaganza, Brain and I gathered over at Mary’s place to await the rest of our group for our night out seeing the

Brian and I raced down to Rochester Friday night. Our Realtor had set up an open house for this Saturday and we needed to clean up the patio area now that the snow had finally melted. It seems that even with the temperatures in the high 60s the back yard is so shady that we still had snow as of the beginning of the week. So after two hours of driving, and a half an hour of clean-up, we went over to visit Mel and Dave. It was good to see them and just spend time chatting. Dave even lent me some books to read.
I am having a crisis of sorts today. Have you ever had the feeling that your life is without purpose? I have spent most of the day today reading a very interesting
